Charli Mckee-Summits Story

A new year means a fresh start. As you think about what you want to accomplish and achieve I thought it would be a good time to share a personal story we recently finished with professional runner Charli McKee.

In 2023 Charli set out to run, ski, or climb to the top of every summit in Salt Lake County. Anyone with familiarity of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah understands this is a big undertaking.

She set out to get to the top of I58 summits by the end of the year.

I found out about what she was doing towards the end of her completing the project and knew we had to share it. I caught up with her on two of her climbs and was able to grab a little bit of footage but we had to rely on a lot of her own footage from her phone to give a better sense of the project.

In this short story, we recap her journey, her setbacks, and why this project was so important to her to accomplish. Charli would say, not all adventures require us to travel across the world, some of the best adventures are in our backyard.
